looking young

I know I know, we hear it all the time being said by women in our 40’s. “Your 40’s are your new 30’s!” Well, I have to admit, I am fortunate to not look my age, at all!  Most people do not believe I have a son that is going to be 23 this year, but I do.  I believe that the gene pool sets the stage in how your going to age. A lot of my black female friends are always saying “black doesn’t crack” and that is true!  I believe in taking care of your skin, because it’s a sure way to NEVER look your age.  I do not sit in the sun, all the time, and if I do, I do not tan my face.  If your a sun worshiper, keep your face out of the sun, it will age you.  I never go to sleep with makeup on, I wash my face twice a day, once in the morning and before I go to bed.  Making sure you have a good skin regiment, and get monthly facials, it’s a must. Eating the right foods also helps with the aging process.  Now trust me, when I do get older, I will start to show signs of age, but as of right now, I still can pass for a women in her 30’s and the best part is, I still get carded for alcohol, which I LOVE!  Age is a number, yes, that’s true, but age is also a matter of mind set. If you are an active person, your number age will not reflect your true body age. Staying active is also a wonderful way to always stay youthful! If you believe in your heart and mind that you are younger, you will be.  So whatever decade your age states, subtract 10 years from that and have fun, after all, you only live once, so live it youthfully!
